SURGERY TIMES
Consultation Times
Please note that the doctors all have eight consulting clinics each week. This means that they are all here every morning, and each doctor works three afternoons a week. Dr Newman is here all day on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays but the other doctors vary their afternoon duties. Therefore the times given below marked with a + are guidelines only for Drs Buxton, Wolfin and Hussain.
A locum doctor, Dr Rachael Finch, works in the practice on a regular basis, usually on Thursday mornings.
Practice Nurses
We usually have a practice nurse working each day, from 8.30am until 6.00pm. However, during the absence of one practice nurse, the hours of the other nurses may vary to ensure availability on each day.
Extended Hours
We now have consultation times outside of our normal working hours, some early morning, others in the evening after 6.30pm. These appointments are pre-bookable appointments and are designed for patients who are unable to get to see their doctor during our normal working hours.
The extended hours surgeries normally run on alternate Monday evenings from 6.30 to 8.00pm and on Wednesday mornings from 7.00 to 8.00am three weeks out of four – two doctors are usually working at each session. During annual leave or study leave, these additional surgery times may be subject to change. Please ask the reception staff for further details.
